On the road connecting the northeast of the United States and Montreal, we stopped for an evening in Sherbrooke. (I'll let you guess what helped us choose this city over another). Isabelle Charest sends out with remarkable efficiency and rare kindness a menu of about ten small plates where everyone will find something to their liking.
Vegetables hold a place of honor here, without stealing the spotlight from some lovely products, sourced not far from there. A cheese and two desserts come to wrap up this delicious moment if the craving and appetite are there.
The wines, natural of course, are served by the bottle or by the glass… or even to take away because they also work as wine merchants. If all pit stops could look like that, even remotely, I'd spend my life on the road.
