Uchu Peruvian Steakhouse

In a country where meat is everywhere but cutting and cooking generally don't do it justice, this beautiful restaurant in downtown Cusco is a real find you absolutely shouldn't miss. You'll find the Peruvian meat triumvirate here (alpaca, beef and pork), beautifully cut and perfectly cooked on lava stone.

The meat is tender and flavorful. The sides aren't quite up to par but who cares, it's too good an opportunity to finally appreciate this alpaca meat with its supposedly great dietary benefits—though its flavors left us a bit skeptical until now.
