Eating breakfast "outside," in every sense of the word, is one of those little vacation pleasures. When traveling in the United States, it's also a no-brainer, especially in the city. The opportunities to treat yourself are way more numerous and exciting than in those boring hotel buffets. Slightly off-center, this former gas station from the 60s, which later became a laundromat, now hosts one of the best spots in the city for enjoying a coffee paired with an outrageous amount of sweet and savory indulgences, each one more guilty than the last. You run into a pretty local and well-mixed crowd here… hipsters, workers, intellectuals, bohemians, salarymen,… all the foodies the neighborhood has to offer, no distinctions. The service is cool and dynamic. The terrace is sheltered. The line is a bit long but totally worth it. Definitely the best breakfast in the city.
