Wine bar

Just a stone's throw from the canal, Nightshop is tucked away in a raw, stripped-back former garage with a massive bar-kitchen-counter taking pride of place and a few tables surrounded by beautiful 70s chairs by Swiss designer Bruno Rey. The vibe is somewhere between London, Antwerp and Copenhagen.

Soft lighting, killer playlist, lovely natural wines and relaxed service: you feel instantly super at home. On the plates, perfectly balanced small dishes to share: tarama with chive oil and summery aioli jazzed up with gorgeous veggies to kick off the evening.

Then comes an unforgettable aguachile octopus with vadouvan oil, raw tuna with stracciatella & purple basil and a personal take on vitello tonnato. It hits the spot, unpretentious, ultra fresh… with just the right amount of personality.

Sweet-tooths will definitely have a blast… but we've never quite managed it, we're always too greedy on the first order. A restaurant we want to shout about from the rooftops – except there's never enough space for everyone (especially since the place only opens three days a week).

A reservation is obviously essential.
