Another lovely spot — very much in the style I probably enjoy the most: a cuisine that strikes a balance between bistro and fine dining, simple yet carefully selected products, prices that don’t sting too much, a relaxed atmosphere, and wines made from grapes — not magic dust…
And this new restaurant, open for barely two months, ticks every box.
The menu is concise: three starters, three mains, one cheese option, and two desserts.
We thoroughly enjoyed a pork belly bathing in a beautifully deep and flavorful broth, raw amberjack served in an ajo blanco, a lovely poultry dish stepping in at the last minute for a cut of beef that was clearly a hit with the rest of the room, and a bold cheese plate composed entirely of blue cheeses!
The wine list may be a little short, but we had no trouble finding something we loved.
The décor blends brick walls, plenty of greenery, gingham tablecloths, a beautiful Oblure pendant light hanging over the bar, and a few wall lamps signed by Verner Panton…
Beautiful, simple, and full of personality.
As it’s been getting quite a bit of buzz lately, booking ahead is definitely a wise move.
As for us, it’s already done — we’ll be back very soon!
