One of the most reputable addresses in the city belonging to one of the most reputable chefs in the country … in short, a sure bet. Gastón Acurio put all his cooking know-how (Astrid y Gastón) and his management expertise (Tanta) into it.
Somewhat in the style of the great French brasseries, you find an endless menu, beautiful products, mastered recipes, seasoned staff, efficient service, a pleasant setting, … not a single false note on the horizon. On the plates that evening, an excellent tiradito and delectable langoustine fritters preceded guinea pig à l'orange, alpaca in a magnificent chocolate sauce and trout tonkatsu … creative, generous and indulgent (so generous in fact that we skipped dessert).
All washed down with cocktails that aren't necessarily alcoholic and perfectly executed. As we said to start with, it's a sure bet … perhaps lacking only the soul and charm of a little imperfection.
