And here's another lovely Brussels address a bit off the beaten path. Barbara Hoornaert has a professional background that would make more than one food lover green with envy.

After working for a Michelin-starred establishment and greatly contributing to the birth of another, she launched a few months ago her wine-bar-cellar-eatery on the edge of Josaphat park. For those who don't know her yet, Barbara, besides being a genuinely passionate wine enthusiast, is the human embodiment of the words "sparkle" and "good vibes": more effective than most antidepressants, an evening here will tickle your mood just as much as your taste buds. Mimosa eggs & bottarga, seaweed-kimchi tartare, succulent black pudding croquettes … loads of other little things that elegantly accompany a selection of wines from the gods (and carefully curated beers).

The perfect spot for those nights when you're not really in the mood for a full restaurant experience … but still … fancy opening a few lovely bottles … and making the most of it with some tasty bites too. And why not?

The terrace makes you wish summer would hurry up, but we won't wait that long to come back.
