The Meets Eatery
Visited in November 2025
North of Amsterdam's Indian quarter, a little vegetarian spot with influences split between Italy and Brazil. The place is beautifully colorful and mismatched; a few little "lounge" spaces wind their way between the tables. The service, a bit tentative, is charming and attentive. A very feel-good kind of place, where everyone seems welcome.
On the plates, plant-based stuff: a cime di rapa velouté that's seriously comforting, oyster mushrooms in tempura topped with a lovely little ginger condiment, some seriously delicious Tuscan gnudi in their sage butter, a few tacos with romesco sauce and artichokes… It's all absolutely excellent.
In the glasses, Alessandro Viola's Rosso Isi pairs perfectly with this transatlantic menu.
We left thrilled, and we're definitely marking this little spot down—especially since the neighborhood seems really nice: arriving too early, we grabbed an aperitivo at Eatmosfera Oost, on the same street, which also offers a great selection of natural wines and pizze that looked impeccable.
