Indian

Apart from the Tikka Masala chicken from my favorite butcher, I have absolutely zero experience with Indian cuisine. I don't like the smell of curry and I really can't handle spicy food.

Nobody's perfect. But every foodie has a curious streak buried deep down...

All that to say I wasn't supposed to end up in this restaurant, and yet. With a birthday girl helping out, we found ourselves there on a Friday night.

Lively atmosphere, a bit chaotic, vibrant and cool: perfect. I forget my worries—there are some interesting things to drink after the cocktail—nicely executed—that we pick to kick things off.

Good, good, good. The menu offers two set meals that let you taste a bit of everything.

Exactly what we needed, we dive right in. Everything is delicious, flavorful and on top of being beautifully presented, it's incredibly generous.

I thought I might die once or twice when I encountered flavors way too strong for me... but my lack of training is the only one to blame. The bill, though, isn't spicy in the slightest—another point in its favor.

We finish up with some stunning, lavishly packed décor. But there's so much of it that it actually becomes really charming.

Anyway, I have no clue how authentic this meal was but what's for certain is that the evening was delicious, transporting and excellent. A really lovely spot.
